For a 60cm aquarium with SPS only in a 45–50cm upper island, the narrower SPS field can still align well. For wall-to-wall SPS on a 60cm tank, the corners and self-shaded faces need more scrutiny. The tank length alone does not decide it; front-to-back depth, coral height and the mounting distance complete the geometry.

A compact soft-coral or LPS reef does not become better because the owner buys the highest-output option that fits the cabinet. Stable water, suitable flow and consistent husbandry may matter more.
