Measure the coral rectangle inside the glass

When two compact lights are the better design
Two AI Prime or similar compact fixtures let each source sit above an island and create overlap through the centre. The layout can reduce hard shadows and maintain useful exposure as colonies branch. It also doubles arms, cables and power supplies and can cost more than one premium fixture.
Do not decide from total watts. Two lower-powered sources can distribute light more evenly than one higher-powered puck, while a broader modern optic can make one fixture simpler. If the tank will remain a modest soft-coral island, a compact fixture can be the rational long-term choice. If wall-to-wall coral growth is the goal, price the second unit or supplementary bars now.
